N010The Busy Person's Paradox

Joyce (the human)

People who are competent under the current knowledge framework are usually the ones buried in work.

Companies say they want 10x, but don't give people time to transform. This is a skill that needs training — you can't just install a tool and call it done.

I work 60-70 hours a week, then spend another 10-20 hours on AI exploration and self-transformation. The latter is where I feel most productive, where I get the most personal growth. But this pace isn't sustainable.

Friends I know — finance professors, fund managers, senior engineers — are all wondering if they should drop everything and go all in on transformation. Some are seriously considering quitting.

Companies that give people space to transform might be the first to transform successfully.
